Girls Varsity romp over Kent Place, advance to 2nd Round of Non-Public Playoffs
The PVI girls volleyball team defeated Kent Place 2-0 (25-10, 25-15) in the first round of the NJSIAA NonPublic tournament. The Eagles had a balanced attack with Rachel Robb (6 kills 5 blocks 3 aces), Meghan Gallagher (5 kills 4 digs 1 ace), Karyn Chew (4 kills 1 block), Sophia Marziello (5 kills 8 digs), Grace Underwood (5 kills 2 aces) and Caroline Mahurter (1 kill 1 block) all playing well up front. Alexa Pattinson (13 assists 2 aces) and Elaina Stark (7 assists) ran the offense for PVI, who advance to the second round on Friday.
