Discover Paul VI
Whenever I witness our students engaged in a classroom activity, a Spring Arts Festival, a tournament game, or a service project, I am extremely proud of their efforts and of their taking advantage of all that is offered them. The truly proudest moments though are the silent ones when I witness a graduate, now an adult, giving back to the community in service. It brings home to me that the life lessons the faculty and staff tried to impart were understood and now lived.

Paul VI is, at first glance, a school like any other neighborhood high school: an academic community. And also like other high schools…integrated into academic programs are the social, psychological, and physical development of each student. However, a Catholic high school adds to this important developmental mix the spiritual growth and faith formation of each individual. That is Paul VI’s commitment to the gospel of Jesus….the development of the whole student in a catholic, Christian atmosphere.

One of our priorities is to instill in the students the value of Christian service and to teach catholic doctrine and morality….these are primary to our existence. So religious education, which is an academic discipline, is very important to us in addition to all academic courses. But we have the freedom in a catholic school not only to study our religion but also to practice it: praying each day in the morning and afternoon, attending mass with everyone in the high school monthly or at a special mass with our team. Annually each student attends an off campus retreat with their classmates to bond with each other, reflect on their lives and to spend time in prayer.

I can find many reasons for you to attend Paul VI High School. Our school succeeds because we have a clear religious mission to develop catholic identity in students, to develop the whole person, to pass on Catholic traditions that you as Catholic families want to do and to provide a well-ordered atmosphere and disciplined environment as we educate students to the highest academic standards.
There is a place here for everyone. We invite all of you to join our community and be part of the proud heritage of Paul VI.

"The Eucharistic mystery stands at the heart and center of the liturgy since it is the fount of life by which we are cleansed and strengthened to live not for ourselves but for God and to be united in love among ourselves.”
