Paul VI High School is proud to announce former South Jersey Player of the Year Lisa Steele, as the new head coach for the girls basketball team. Coach Reilly stepped down after one year for personal reasons and Paul VI wasted no time in their search for a new Head Coach. Among the dozen who interviewed Steele stood out with both her credentials and her philosophy.
She played college ball at George Washington University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. She was an assistant coach at Mount St. Mary’s in Maryland while earning her MBA. She continued in coaching at Wagner College, a Division I Program in Staten Island.
Steele is involved in Blue Star Productions out of Bensalem, Pa. and is widely know for her involvement with the Philadelphia Belles AAU programs.
Lisa is currently employed by the Black Horse Pike School District as a long-term substitute teacher in the science department.
Lisa will meet the Paul VI girls this week and her position as head coach is effective immediately.
