Best on offense: Paul VI quarterback Matt Vitale is back for his senior season and after throwing 21 touchdowns and just four interceptions a year ago, he is poised for a big senior year. The Eagle signal-caller will have weapons at his disposal, including wide receiverLonnie Moore, and will be a challenge for defenses to stop.
Best on defense: Despite playing on a 2-8 team a year ago, Winslow cornerback Melvin Reidpulled down 12 interceptions. Will teams test him as much this year? That remains to be seen, but he and new coach Kemp Carr are hoping the ones he does get he can take to the house.
Paul VI will win the division because: The Eagles have a solid core returning from last year's team, which swept through the Constitution, and a veteran quarterback that can put up big numbers and also pull out a close game in the fourth quarter.
Don’t sleep on Winslow because: Carr, who coached Penns Grove for 10 years including to a South Jersey Group 1 title in 2012, knows how to rebuild in a hurry. He proved it with the Red Devils and with talent like Reid and Illinois offensive line commit Devon Robinson has some talent to build around.
