Paul VI High School needs a new football coach.

That became clear Wednesday morning when the athletic department issued a public release to announce Glenn Hutton’s resignation from the post.
Hutton, a 2009 Eagles’ alum, got the job in 2016 after Phil Brunozzi stepped down just four games into that campaign.
“Coach Hutton has decided to pursue his passion for coaching football at a higher level of play,” the statement read. “We wish Coach Hutton the best and thank him for his dedication and the integrity he brought to the program under the Play Like A Champion Initiative.

“Paul VI is grateful and appreciative for Hutton’s leadership of our student-athletes during a time of transition.”

The Eagles were 7-19 with Hutton in charge, the high-water mark came in 2017’s 5-5 record.

This past autumn, Paul VI went 1-9. Its lone victory came against winless Camden Catholic on Thanksgiving Eve by a 31-19 count.
The Non-Public rivals are now both in the market for a gridiron boss. Robert “Cody” Hall stepped down from the Irish job on Nov. 6.
