Michael J. Androlewicz, Class of 1982

Anyone who knew Mike during high school would know the first place to look for him if he went missing was on the basketball court. Mike not only enjoyed playing the game, but had a passion for playing the game. He especially enjoyed playing under the coaching leadership of Coach Art DiPatri.  When Mike was inducted into the hall of fame he even asked Art to speak on his behalf at the ceremony.
Mike played basketball for three years while attending Paul VI High School. He was All-Parochial his junior and senior years, and was All-South Jersey 1st team his senior year. Aside from being a stellar athlete, most remarkably in basketball, Mike excelled in other areas as well, he was part of the National Honor Society, senior class vice-president, and the recipient of the Christian Spirit Award.

Mike attended Lehigh University as an Accounting major. While at Lehigh, Mike played basketball all four years.  During his junior year, Mike was a starter for Lehigh's first-ever team to play in the NCAA tournament. His accolades continued into his senior year where Mike was voted 1st team All-East Coast Conference.

Following graduation, Mike worked for several multi-national Fortune 500 companies in accounting and finance positions, and had the  great opportunity to travel internationally. Mike is now a business partner and Vice President of Business Development for Education Management Corporation, a leading provider of academic and career technical training services.  Mike resides in Haddon Heights, and is a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Parish.  He remains a very active part of the alumni community at Paul VI; attending various alumni gatherings every year, returns to route for the current basketball team, and stays in touch with many of his high school buddies.

A Big Brother’s Love.
By Sherie Mischler ‘86

Growing up, Mike was the big brother that teased me incessantly and taught me how to shoot a jump shot!  Now, he is the loving brother and uncle who takes me and my children to Six Flags in the summer.  Outwardly, Mike is a laid back guy. But get him talking about something he truly cares about, and he becomes very passionate. Mike is a quiet contributor, choosing to help out behind the scenes and deflect attention to others. Paul VI, friends, and family members have all enjoyed his generosity of spirit.
